Essential Functions
- Welcome and greet arriving guests, seat guests at tables, ensure flow of operations, and acknowledge departing guests in a friendly manner.
- Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Knowledge of Straz Center menus and products.
- Handle cash accurately.
- Maintain clean service and dining areas.
- Be ready and willing to assist servers as situations arise.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
- Complete daily paperwork neatly and accurately.
- Ability to work with a schedule that may include nights, weekends, holidays.
- Possess basic math skills and have ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Customer service skills and experience.
- Be able to work in a stand up for position for long periods of time (minimum 5 hours).
- Prior experience preferred, but not required.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience as a Host in a full-service, high-volume restaurant preferred, but not required.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary for extended periods of time and use the computer and telephone. The employee is occasionally required to move up to 25lbs, reach, ascend/descend atop ladders, and move in confined spaces.
