Below are some of the duties of Adoption & Foster Coordinator:

Job Responsibilities:

-Provide loving care to all adoptable companion animals at Stray Rescue

-As most of our rescued companions are strays, you must be very comfortable with dogs and going into their kennels and take them out for a walk or for introduction to possible family.

-You will be required to work one weekend day a week and holidays as the adoption schedule demands.

-At any given day you may also transition from working in your desk to walking dogs, cleaning kennels, and work with dog trainers and/or veterinary technicians.

-You will work largely on customer service related tasks, so you should be very comfortable meeting and talking to people, to know them and their back ground and why they wanted to adopt a pet.

-You should also be skilled communicators and be comfortable working with the general public over the phone and in person; a large part of the job is public relations.

-As pet adoption counselors, you should take care to follow proper safety precautions when interacting with adoptable pets as some of them may tend to be very selective like us and you should monitor potential adopters to make sure they follow proper safety precautions as well as to minimize the chances for an accident.
