A well-established manufacturer of electronic products is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong embedded systems and firmware development expertise. This is a hands-on, full-time role focused on designing and improving the electronics behind critical security and access control products used worldwide.
About the Role
This engineer will design, develop, and support embedded electronic systems, including firmware, hardware integration, and product improvements. You’ll take projects from concept through production, working closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop embedded systems for electro-mechanical products (firmware hardware integration).
- Support ongoing product improvements, component updates, and system redesigns.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to troubleshoot and optimize production.
- Participate in new product development involving mobile or cloud connectivity.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and performance standards (UL, CE, ANSI).
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 7 years of professional experience in embedded systems, firmware, or electrical design.
- Strong proficiency in C/C for embedded development.
- Solid understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and PCB/schematic design.
- Experience with product testing, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with mobile, cloud, or IoT connectivity is a plus.
