Our client, a well-established and highly respected regional law firm, is looking to add a Corporate Attorney (Of Counsel) to their team in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in general corporate law, commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions and business planning.
Job responsibilities include:
- Assist team in all areas of corporate and commercial law.
- Advise on corporate governance, compliance and commercial contracts.
- Draft, review and revise all forms of commercial documents and agreements related to business formation, including shareholder agreements, operating agreement, merger/acquisition agreements and commercial contracts.
- Counsel clients on every state of business, including entity structure, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, strategic growth, exit strategies and succession planning.
Candidates must have the following experience/credentials:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of five years of experience in corporate law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with other practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Must be admitted to practice law in New York State.
The firm offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package. At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000. Where a successful applicant is slotted within this range will vary based on legitimate criteria, such as experience, skill level and portable book of business.
