Damage Prevention Supervisor/Lead Locator
Stratus Construction is currently hiring experienced Locator/Damage Prevention Manager. The primary job responsibilities will be to manage your employees’ workload, training, schedules, and emergency response.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Monitoring tickets throughout each day on BOSS and trading/moving them as needed to accommodate volume and efficiency
- Locate a designated area or where help is needed to regulate volume and maintain customer quality
- Receive phone calls and be available 24/7 with assistance
- Coordination of vacation, holiday, emergency and weekend schedules
- Support team members with daily issues/concerns
- Maintain and boost morale with locators in the field
- Locate in areas that need assistance or troubled specific locates
- Determine the working hours of locators so that ticket volume can be managed
- Assist with shooting difficult locates – “schedule and assist with Meet-up”
- Responsible for equipment calibration and documentation of calibration
- First level – damage/damage reports initial documentation
- Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground telecommunications
- Must be computer proficient
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Willingness and desire to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality results
- Possess good time management skills
- Able to walk up to 5 miles a day in all weather conditions
- Understanding of basic bonding and grounding
- Operate different electronic detection equipment, and Ground Penetrating Radar to locate and mark underground utilities within set accuracy limits
- Use a shovel to expose buried utilities when necessary
- Able to use all required personal protective equipment/Safely operate company vehicle
- Training new locators
- Support safety initiatives per company policy
- Previous experience is required
Job Type: Full-time:
Pay: $50,000 - $70,000 (Based on experience)
