Building Automation / BAS Technician
Stratus Controls and Automation is seeking a qualified and motivated Building Automation / BAS Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have proven field experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to maintain, commission, and optimize HVAC control systems across a variety of project environments.
Key Qualifications & Attributes
The ideal candidate should have:
- 3 years of experience working with building automation systems, DDC controls, or related control systems
- Working knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, or other communication protocols
- Experience commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting HVAC control systems
- Familiarity with IT/OT integration, including networking, routers, switches, subnets, and related infrastructure
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, schematics, and control sequences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation habits
- Ability to work independently in the field while also collaborating with a team
- Strong communication skills with clients, contractors, and internal staff
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
