Stratosphere Quality is seeking a Team Leader – Quality Inspection to support operations at a manufacturing battery plant in Liberty, NC. This role is responsible for leading a team of Quality Inspectors and ensuring all inspection, sorting, and containment activities meet customer and company standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, startup environment requiring flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to changing production demands.

Essential Job Function
Schedule & Work Expectations
- Initial project phase requires 8–12 hour shifts per day
- Schedule may include Monday through Sunday, based on customer needs
- Days off will vary during startup operations
- Once the project stabilizes:
- Transition to standard 8-hour shifts
- Overtime available as needed
- Lead, coach, and support a team of Quality Inspectors
- Assign tasks and monitor team productivity and performance
- Ensure all inspection and sorting activities meet quality standards
- Communicate effectively with site leadership and customers
- Train and onboard new employees on processes and safety procedures
- Enforce company policies and safety guidelines
- Complete required documentation, reporting, and data entry
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Manufacturing, quality, or production experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced and changing environments
- High attention to detail and accountability
- Flexible schedule with ability to work extended hours as needed
