Position Summary
Salary: $52,000 - $63,000K/YR
The Onsite Quality Project Manager is responsible for leading quality operations at customer manufacturing sites while ensuring exceptional service delivery, project execution, employee management, and customer satisfaction. This role oversees inspection and containment activities, manages onsite teams, supports operational goals, and maintains strong communication with customers and leadership.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving abilities, manufacturing experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced automotive or industrial environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage onsite quality inspection and containment projects
- Supervise Team Leaders, Quality Inspectors, and project personnel
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and client facilities
- Ensure all quality standards, safety procedures, and work instructions are followed
- Manage staffing, scheduling, attendance, and employee performance
- Conduct employee coaching, training, and performance evaluations
- Review production concerns and implement corrective actions
- Analyze defects and provide recommendations for process improvement
- Track project metrics, labor hours, and operational performance
- Communicate project updates to customers and company leadership
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation within company systems
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and employee retention efforts
- Support launch activities, shutdowns, and special customer projects
- Travel to customer sites as needed within assigned territory

- Previous leadership or management experience in manufacturing, automotive, or quality operations
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and quality documentation preferred
- Knowledge of quality inspection methods and manufacturing processes
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer systems
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends or overtime when needed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
