Key Responsibilities
Essential Job Function
- Perform quality assessments on incoming materials and outgoing products per documented inspection standards.
- Reject nonconforming materials/products and complete appropriate reject documentation.
- Organize and maintain inspection reports and records from internal inspection teams.
- Lead the Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) process, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with inspectors.
- Manage the company’s ISO certification process: conduct internal audits, coordinate with external auditors, and support ISO-related improvements across the organization.
- Communicate with customers’ quality and procurement departments to resolve nonconformance issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine product requirements.
- Measure product dimensions, evaluate functionality, and verify compliance with specifications.
- Recommend and implement improvements to production and inspection processes to enhance quality, reduce risk, and improve cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with production teams to create and deliver training plans for productivity and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues quickly and effectively.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong math skills, including metric/English conversions.
- Experience with audits, inspections, and quality documentation preferred.
