Wealth Management Intern

At Stratos Private Wealth, we help clients make confident financial decisions through thoughtful planning, disciplined investing, and high-touch service.

We’re looking for a Wealth Management Intern who wants real, hands-on experience. Our interns work closely with Associate Advisors and gain wealth experience in financial planning and client relationships. This role is designed for someone who is serious about pursuing a career in wealth management and wants to build the foundation to become an Associate Advisor.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You’ll work directly with Associate Advisors, supporting the entire advisor team while learning the core functions of the role:

• Client Meeting Support – Assist with meeting preparation, gather data, run reports, and help organize materials
• Financial Planning Support – Help build and update financial plans using planning software
• Meeting Follow-Up – Draft notes, action items, and follow-up communications
• Client & Team Support – Assist with client requests and internal tasks with a high level of accuracy and responsiveness
• Projects & Initiatives – Contribute to firm-wide projects (e.g., tax season support, client communications, process improvements)

You’ll gain exposure to how client relationships are managed from start to finish and how financial advice is delivered in a real-world setting.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Economics, Business or related field preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Interest in financial planning, investing, and wealth management

PREFERRED (but not required):

• Prior internship or work experience in a professional setting
• Familiarity with Excel and financial planning tools

SCHEDULE & REQUIREMENTS

• Part-time, hourly position
• Must be able to work year-round (not just summer)
• Flexible schedule during the school year (adjusted around classes)
• Increased hours available during summer and school breaks

• Hourly Pay: $20.00/hour
• Sick Time: Accrued at 1 hour every 30 hours worked (per state guidelines)
