Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Fabricate metal components using various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Operate power tools such as grinders, saws, and drills for cutting and shaping materials.
- Utilize measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to ensure precision in fabrication.
- Perform welding tasks on-site using cranes or rigs as necessary for positioning materials.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Welder in a construction or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with various welding techniques and equipment is essential.
- Experience with reading blueprints and technical drawings is required.
- Ability to operate cranes or rigging equipment is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
