Operations Supervisor
About the Role
As an Operations Supervisor, you’ll lead a production team within our advanced manufacturing facility - ensuring safe, on-time, and high-quality delivery. You’ll serve as the connection point between Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain, driving daily execution while continuously improving how we operate.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, meeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Assign work, set clear expectations, and coach a high-performing production team.
- Ensure compliance with FAA, AS9100, and company standards.
- Track and report key metrics (output, labor, KPIs), using data to guide decisions and communicate progress.
- Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain conformance.
- Support workforce planning: scheduling, staffing, and overtime management.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives with your team.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance input for production personnel.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while championing EHS initiatives.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects that enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and elevate operational performance.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4 years of manufacturing experience, including 2 years in a lead or supervisory role (aerospace strongly preferred).
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with AS9100, FAA, and ITAR standards; strong EHS focus.
- Proven leadership skills — able to coach, mentor, and motivate teams.
- Working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies; skilled in root-cause problem solving.
- Strong communicator and collaborator, able to manage competing priorities with sound judgment.
- Data-driven mindset with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with composite manufacturing is a plus.
Work Environment
- Setting: Clean aerospace & defense manufacturing environment; frequent collaboration with Mechanical, Systems, Test, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional weekends for critical builds/tests).
- Travel: <10%.
- Physical: Frequent movement between office, production, and lab spaces; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Security: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; work may involve ITAR-regulated or classified projects.
