Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately install cabinets and related fixtures.
- Measure dimensions precisely using tape measures and other tools to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Install cabinets, countertops, fixtures, and hardware following safety protocols and project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ladders to complete installations efficiently.
- Perform construction site inspections to verify adherence to plans, building codes, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct remodeling tasks including drywall installation, plastering, caulking, tile laying, gutter installation, and masonry work as needed.
Skills
- Extensive experience with cabinet installation and building material installation techniques.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and estimating processes.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and measuring devices such as tape measures.
- Familiarity with construction inspection procedures to ensure quality control throughout projects.
- Experience with tile masonry, flooring installation, stucco application, drywall finishing, plastering, caulking, gutter installation, and fixture mounting.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems relevant to cabinet setups is a plus.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining safety standards on-site.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during installations.
