Job Title: Senior Engineer V (Contract – Hybrid)Position Type: Contractor (Hybrid – at least 2 days/week onsite, Wed & ThuSchedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMLocation: Pomona, CAJob Type: ContractDuration: 12 Months (Contract)Pay Rate: $60 - $70 per hourSummaryThe Senior Engineer V will manage and develop new transmission line projects, from data collection and analysis through implementation. This role involves conducting active research, designing new projects, and improving current engineering processes that impact overall business performance. The engineer will also support strategic decision-making by analyzing technical and project data.ResponsibilitiesLead all transmission line structural engineering tasks related to lattice towers (structure and foundation) in complex transmission projects.Serve as subject matter expert (SME) in PLS Tower analysis and modeling of lattice tower structures per ASCE and SCE standards.Design or review transmission line foundations (drilled concrete shafts, direct embed, micro piles, grillage) using FAD Tools or hand calculations.Perform transmission line structural load calculations per NESC, California General Order 95, and other applicable codes.Support field operations and construction administration to resolve design issues, perform inspections, and assist in emergency restorations.Prepare engineering mitigation reports for damaged towers and footings.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and ensure QA/QC and safety compliance.Build effective cross-functional relationships within the organization.Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline (Master's preferred).5–7 years of relevant professional experience.RequirementsTop 3 Must-Haves:PLS TowerLattice TowerLoad CalculationAdditional Qualifications:California Civil PE License required (Structural preferred)Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural EngineeringMinimum 7 years of experience in transmission line engineeringProficiency in PLS Tower (PLS CADD) and FAD Tools
