What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Guidance/SAP (partially Grant Funded) position at Stratford Public School?
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with students and families in a small, relationship-centered rural PreK–8 school community.
Providing individual counseling and student support
Facilitating small groups and classroom guidance lessons
Supporting students academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally
Collaborating closely with families, teachers, and the student support team within our MTSS-B framework
Building strong relationships with students across all grade levels
Helping foster a positive and supportive school climate
Flexibility, collaboration, initiative, and a strong student-centered mindset, which are especially important in a small school setting
Opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the entire school community
A Master’s degree in School Counseling or a related field, along with appropriate certification/licensure requirements, would be needed for the guidance portion of the role.
