Maintenance Director – Assisted Living & Memory Care
Stratford Place is seeking a dynamic, reliable, and highly skilled Maintenance Director to oversee building operations and ensure a safe, clean, and fully functional environment for residents and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Complete and track work orders in a timely manner
- Conduct routine safety inspections and correct hazards immediately
- Ensure compliance with South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) regulations
- Oversee fire safety systems, alarms, and emergency preparedness
- Coordinate and supervise outside vendors and contractors
- Maintain building exterior, grounds, and common areas
- Respond to maintenance emergencies (on-call required)
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) on a rotating weekend schedule
Qualifications
- 3 years of maintenance experience (senior living or healthcare strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues independently
- Experience with life safety systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, etc.)
- Basic computer skills (work orders, communication)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet
