Strategies to Empower People is looking to hire a full-time Case Supervisor for Behavioral Supported Living Services! This position works directly with the Intellectually and/or Developmentally Disabled (I/DD) adults our agency serves and provides ongoing supervision, training, and development for the direct support staff that work with our clients in the Sacramento County area!

WHAT IS THE JOB?

The Behavioral Case Supervisor has a hand in almost every aspect in the services we provide, from general administrative duties such as documentation, reports, and ensuring agency compliance to on-site assessments for incoming clients, hands-on support for our current clients, and developing and implementing numerous plans, goals, and celebrations for the people we support.

This position works directly with people who regularly communicate through challenging behaviors, including severe physical aggression, self-injurious behavior, and property destruction. Understanding the population we support is extremely important to this role, and experience working with individuals who exhibit regular and severe behavioral challenges is an absolute requirement!

The people we support live in their own homes, in their own communities, and it is our responsibility to make sure they can live as independently as possible no matter what their challenges may be! However this is NOT an office position! The goal is for the Behavioral Case Supervisor to spend 75% of their time face-to-face with the clients we serve, and 25% meeting administrative requirements.

SCHEDULE

The Behavioral Case Supervisor position is a salaried exempt role which is on-call Monday through Friday and shares a rotating on-call weekend with the other members of the supervisory team (potentially one weekend a month).

Please note that this is not a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. position! The Behavioral Case Supervisor is the first point of contact for field staff and needs to be a constant and accessible resource for our clients and our staff during the work week!

The rate of pay for this position is $34 per hour, which transitions to salaried at $70,720 annually following an initial training period.

LOCATION

This position operates out of our Sacramento office location, which is located at 2330 Glendale Lane Sacramento, CA 95825.

This is not an office-only position! The expectation for the Behavioral Case Supervisor is to be in the field and available to support our clients in the Sacramento County area.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The Behavioral Case Supervisor is a position that requires both experience supervising other individuals as well as having extensive experience working in the Human Services field!

This role requires at least two (2) years experience working with individuals who have Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD population).

This position also requires at least one (1) year of supervisory and budgetary/finance experience. This means supervising staff, NOT supervising individuals with disabilities! (Two years experience providing In-Home Support Services is NOT considered supervision!)

Experience working with challenging behaviors is a REQUIREMENT!

Being a licensed and insured driver is necessary for this role, which includes having a clean driving record (no excessive points, and no DUIs/wet-and-reckless in the past 10 years). We provide mileage reimbursement at a rate of $.70 per mile!
