What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Recruiter position at Strategic Systems Inc?
Job Title: IT Staffing Recruiter
Reports To: Director of Global Recruiting
Work Location: On-site
Status: Non-Exempt
Full Time/Part Time: Full-time
Position Description:
Strategic Systems is seeking an experienced IT Staffing Recruiter to identify, engage, and place qualified technology professionals across contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire opportunities.
This role is ideal for a recruiter who understands the pace of IT staffing, knows how to build candidate relationships, and wants a compensation plan that rewards profitable placements—not just activity or volume. You will manage the full recruiting lifecycle while partnering closely with account managers, hiring managers, and our broader delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and recruit IT professionals through LinkedIn Recruiter, Bullhorn, job boards, referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, candidate presentation, interview coordination, offer management, and placement.
- Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for current and anticipated client needs.
- Conduct thorough candidate screenings covering technical qualifications, compensation, availability, work authorization, location, and career goals.
- Present qualified candidates with clear, accurate submission summaries.
- Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Partner with account managers to understand client requirements, priorities, and hiring expectations.
- Keep candidate records, activities, and pipeline information current within the applicant tracking system.
- Meet expectations for candidate quality, response time, submissions, interviews, placements, and profitability.
- Maintain strong candidate relationships that support referrals, redeployment, and long-term pipeline development.
Qualifications
- Previous recruiting experience within IT staffing or technology recruitment.
- Working knowledge of technical positions, terminology, and candidate profiles.
- Experience recruiting for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct-hire opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to source passive candidates and build talent pipelines.
- Strong interviewing, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced staffing environment.
- Experience using an applicant tracking system, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable working toward measurable performance goals.
Competitive Compensation
- Competitive base salary.
- Uncapped commission structure.
- Commission tied directly to the profitability and margin performance of each placement.
- No complicated revenue hurdles or delayed commission accelerators.
- Top commission percentages are earned based on the quality and profitability of each individual deal.
- High-margin business is rewarded immediately, allowing recruiters to maximize earnings as soon as they deliver profitable results.
Unlike traditional staffing commission plans that require recruiters to clear large revenue thresholds before reaching higher commission levels, our model evaluates each deal on its own merits. Recruiters who consistently deliver strong candidates and profitable placements have an immediate path to higher commissions—with no cap on earning potential.
Why Join Strategic Systems?
- Uncapped earning potential with a straightforward, margin-based commission plan.
- Opportunity to recruit across a broad range of technology positions and industries.
- Access to established client relationships and ongoing staffing needs.
- Collaborative partnership between recruiting and sales.
- Opportunity to build long-term candidate pipelines rather than focusing only on immediate requisitions.
- Performance-driven environment that rewards quality, profitability, urgency, and results.
