Location: Onsite – USAA Campus

Work Schedule: 8 hours per day

Role Overview

Seeking an Intermediate UX Designer to collaborate within high-performing, cross-organizational teams to enhance Member experiences across digital products. This role focuses on ideation, prototyping, and delivering high-fidelity design solutions in a fast-paced, enterprise environment. The designer will contribute across multiple product teams within a large-scale program at various stages of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Define business problems and translate them into clear design requirements.
• Generate ideas, create prototypes, and deliver high-fidelity design solutions.
• Facilitate and participate in design sessions with cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.
• Support end-to-end design efforts from discovery through delivery.
• Synthesize and apply research findings throughout the design process.
• Create cohesive, intuitive, and accessible Member experiences.
• Present design work clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
• Ensure designs align with risk management and compliance requirements.

Top Skills Required (in order of importance)

1. Human-Centered Design Application (4 years)
2. Ability to apply human-centered design principles and methods to create solutions aligned with user needs.
3. UX Best Practices & Interaction Design (4 years)
4. Working understanding of website navigation, mobile patterns, information architecture, and usability.
5. UI Design for Responsive & Native Applications (4 years)
6. Experience designing user interfaces for responsive web and native applications (iOS, Android).

Technology & Tools

• Figma (required; advanced features such as Auto Layout)
• Experience working with a mature Design System
• Jira (experience is a plus)

Additional Requirements

• Strong communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to build consensus among diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant digital product design experience.
• Design research execution is not required; however, candidates must be able to synthesize and apply research insights effectively.
