Job Title: Primavera 6 Scheduler – Transmission Engineering
Location: Tampa, FL
Schedule: On-site daily during training; thereafter 4 days on-site / 1 day remote
Contract Duration: Possible 18-month contract
Pay: 80-90 an hr on W2

Short Description:
Provide critical support to the Transmission Engineering group for major capital projects. The Primavera 6 Scheduler will lead the development, maintenance, and monitoring of project schedules in Primavera P6, ensuring timely and accurate project execution. This role will also mentor and train junior scheduling staff on Primavera best practices.

Complete Description:
We are seeking an experienced Primavera 6 Scheduler to support Transmission Engineering on major capital projects. The primary responsibility is to develop, maintain, and manage project schedules in Primavera P6, ensuring schedules are accurate, achievable, and aligned with project objectives. The Scheduler will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, provide schedule analysis, and generate summary reports at both project and portfolio levels. The role will eventually include mentoring and training junior staff in Primavera scheduling methodologies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules in Primavera P6 for major capital projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure schedules reflect project scope, milestones, and dependencies.
• Conduct routine meetings to review schedule progress, update status, and address schedule risks.
• Provide portfolio- and project-level reporting on schedule adherence, critical path analysis, and milestone tracking.
• Support Project Managers in identifying schedules and milestones at risk and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with tracking project costs, including budget reforecasts, estimates versus actuals, accruals, and contingencies.
• Gather and communicate information from other departments to maintain project schedule accuracy.
• Assist with the creation of major capital project budgets, estimates, and cash flow projections.
• Present schedule-related information to stakeholders, executives, and project teams as needed.
• Support leadership with ad-hoc reports, special requests, and informational inquiries.
• Mentor and train junior staff on Primavera scheduling techniques and best practices.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance scheduling efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project scheduling using Primavera P6.
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage complex project schedules, including standing up new projects in Primavera.
• Strong process improvement and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to stakeholders regularly.
• Proven ability to mentor and train junior scheduling staff.
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-disciplinary capital projects preferred.

Additional Information:

• Work will initially be on-site every day for training purposes; after training, schedule will be 4 days on-site, 1 day remote.
• Position provides an opportunity to play a key role in high-profile capital projects and contribute to process enhancements across the Transmission Engineering group.

Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour
