Finance Systems Analyst – SAP

Location: Tampa, FL
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Schedule: Minimum 24-32 hours per week
Work Arrangement: On-site 4 days per week; scheduling flexibility based on business needs
Pay Rate:  $40-$50/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking a Finance Systems Analyst to support Finance system administration, SAP master data management, technology initiatives, compliance activities, and analytical projects.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP R/3, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities. This role will work closely with Finance, IT, and other business stakeholders to maintain system data and access, support compliance requirements, and assist with Finance technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer Finance-related SAP R/3 master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.

• Coordinate and process SAP Finance user access requests and support periodic user access reviews.

• Support SOX compliance activities related to Finance systems, including:

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation and evidence

  • System access administration

  • Periodic user access reviews

  • IT General Controls (ITGC) execution and documentation

• Assist with Finance technology projects throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and project coordination.

• Perform ad hoc financial, operational, and system analysis to support management decision-making.

• Research, gather, validate, and organize data for regulatory and rate case activities.

• Assist with responses to regulatory interrogatories and related information requests.

• Partner with Finance, IT, and business teams to resolve system, data, and access-related issues.

• Maintain clear and accurate documentation related to Finance systems, controls, processes, and testing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

• Experience working with SAP R/3, including master data maintenance and/or SAP security and access administration.

• Experience supporting SOX controls, ITGCs, UAT, or system access controls.

• Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Finance systems or Finance technology projects.

• Utility industry experience.

• Regulatory or rate case experience.

• Experience gathering and analyzing financial, operational, or system data for management or regulatory reporting.

Salary : $40 - $50
