Job Title: Backend Engineer
Location: Cambridge, MA 02139/ Richmond, VA 23238
On Site Work
Contract Length: 12 months
Pay: 85-90 an hr on W2
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend systems in a high-performance enterprise environment. This role requires strong hands-on expertise with PySpark and AWS cloud services, working onsite with cross-functional engineering teams in either Boston, MA or Richmond, VA.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise with PySpark
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services, including:
- AWS Glue
- EC2
- Lambda
- Experience building, debugging, and optimizing backend data pipelines and services
- Ability to work onsite full-time in either Boston, MA or Richmond, VA
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Java
- Python
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and distributed data pipelines
- Build and optimize ETL workflows using PySpark and AWS Glue
- Deploy and manage cloud-based infrastructure using EC2 and Lambda
- Collaborate with engineering, data, and product teams to deliver secure, reliable systems
- Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability issues across backend services
- Ensure best practices in cloud architecture, security, and data processing
Salary : $85 - $90
