OVERVIEW/POSITION SUMMARY
Works well independently and in collaboration with clients, manufacturers, A&D firms, internal team and other industry partners to develop creative interior space solutions and coordinate work efforts. Serve as leader & mentor to project teams and colleagues. Lead the design process from design development to installation.
KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:
· Work on both client-facing and internal projects across many business markets.
· Capable of managing multiple projects and engagements.
· Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
· Excellent presentation skills, including virtual presenting.
· Analyze RFP packages to determine the ideal product solutions.
· Collaborate with Marketing team on visual content for RFP packages.
· Fluency on systems and ancillary furniture.
· Take initiative to learn new products, reading and learning to specify following specification instructions, planning guides, price lists, product training and CET webinars.
· Produce furniture block plans, test fits, space plans.
· Publish detailed drawings, renderings, realistic renderings, finish palettes, furniture specifications, installation drawings.
· Develop furniture drawings for client review and approval.
· Perform field measurements, electrical and core locations, furniture inventory.
· Generate, organize and maintain drawing files following standards.
· Assist with spec checks for other designers to ensure accuracy of work, finishes and product application.
· Attend vendor presentations and industry events.
· Ability to estimate how long a task will take, track and monitor project hours.
· Direct report to Design Manager.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in interior design from an accredited college or university is preferred.
· 5 years of design experience, preferably within an office environment.
· Advanced CET skills.
· Advanced skills in AutoCAD 2023, CAP 20/20, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, Zoom, MS Teams.
· NCIDQ certification is an asset.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively while also ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail.
· Be an optimistic, knowledgeable and creative problem solver.
· Must be cooperative and accommodating, with the ability to work with and learn from others.
· Exceptional customer service skills, team player mentality.
· Willingness to work on everything that comes your way.
· Excellent work ethic and accountability.
· Appreciation for Interior Design principles, to include texture, color, form, function, materiality balance, rhythm, repetition, scale, proximity, and symmetry.
· Knowledge of building codes, ADA, egress & occupancy regulations.
· Can easily draw/sketch by hand to communicate ideas efficiently.
