Production Sanitation Worker

Responsibilities

• Perform industrial cleaning tasks using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to maintain hygiene standards in production zones.
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and goggles.
• Conduct sanitation of machinery, production surfaces, floors, walls, and other areas according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.
• Follow detailed cleaning schedules and document completed sanitation activities accurately in logs and reports.
• Assist with warehouse organization by removing debris, sanitizing storage areas, and supporting inventory cleanliness efforts.
• Use basic math skills to measure chemical concentrations, mixing solutions accurately for effective cleaning.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols including respiratory protection use during chemical handling and industrial cleaning processes.

Requirements

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle chemicals safely while following all safety procedures related to chemical handling and sanitation.
• Experience with GMP standards, food safety practices, and industrial cleaning techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks such as moving equipment or supplies throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining sanitation records and logs.
• Basic math proficiency for measuring chemicals and performing routine calculations related to cleaning processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires compliance with strict safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection measures.
