Position Summary
The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for providing visible patrol and security presence in the Walmart parking lot. This role focuses on maintaining a safe environment for customers, employees, and property by deterring theft, monitoring suspicious activity, and responding to incidents in a professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct routine patrols of the parking lot area on foot or by vehicle.

Monitor and observe for suspicious activity, theft, disturbances, or safety hazards.

Serve as a visible security presence to deter criminal activity.

Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies.

Document and report all security-related incidents in accordance with company procedures.

Assist customers and employees with safety concerns when needed.

Enforce site-specific rules, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications

Must meet State of Michigan requirements for unarmed security officers (Michigan Security Guard License/Registration or eligibility to obtain).

Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain alert, observant, and professional at all times.

Capability to stand, walk, and patrol outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.

Reliable transportation and punctuality required.
