Command Center Operator

Description

Strategic Security (SSC) is a nationwide leading provider of security guard services, executive protection, intelligence, consulting, investigative services. SSC Operations Center Watch Officer is responsible for: Dispatch / Scheduling / Analysts in our Operations Center for support for our local and nationwide client locations. The hours of operations are 24/7. The rate for this position is $21.00/hr.

As an Operations Center Watch Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring multiple intrusion and fire alarm systems for client locations.
• Monitor closed circuit television systems for client locations.
• Monitor multiple radio talk groups for local site to include security and fire talk groups.
• Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls for the local client location.
• Annotate all site activity as it pertains to security, fire and/or facilities.
• Communicating directly with the client and the security forces team to ensure site and business safety.
• Communicate and work closely with other SOC dispatchers and Account Manager on various shifts.
• Conduct status checks of all posts/patrols.
• Dispatch appropriate security personnel for calls for service.
• Maintain log books/blotters, handling guard force call outs, backfills or additional service requests.
• Monitoring guard force time, attendance and post watch. Monitoring of GPS tracking of company assets and performing other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications Required

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Possess exceptional computer skills and the ability to multi-task
• Experience in the security industry and Operations Centers preferred

• Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
• Must be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
• Must have demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
• Must be warm, engaging, charismatic; and possess a natural ability to develop rapport with others in an authentic and sincere manner
• Must practice good judgment; high level of integrity
• Must be proactive; take initiative with minimal supervision

• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
