Medical Accounts Receivable Representative

Compensation Package:

• $18.00/hour PLUS monthly commission

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Billing Representative to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting and servicing our clients, specifically in the areas of medical billing and collections. Your primary responsibility will involve following up on unpaid or underpaid claims, while ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• - Engage in both inbound and outbound calls to perform necessary follow-ups
• - Contact insurance companies to address unpaid claims and proactively resolve any issues
• - Contact insurance carriers in regards to unpaid or underpaid claims
• - Craft detailed appeals to challenge claim denials or underpayments
• - Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries
• - Utilize Practice Management system and payer portals effectively to process billing and collections tasks
• - Navigate Explanation of Benefits and other insurance correspondence efficiently
• - Meet daily productivity goals to ensure optimal performance
• - Undertake any additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• - Previous experience in revenue cycle office operations, specifically in orthopedics, pain management, spine surgery, plastic surgery, Federal No Surprises Act, out-of-network, or Medevolve is preferred.

Qualifications:

• - Proficient in using Outlook, Word, and Excel for efficient workflow management
• - Possess a positive, outgoing personality with a "can-do" attitude
• - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• - Strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• - Analytical mindset to assess information and provide appropriate responses
• - Self-motivated learner with a passion for staying updated with industry trends
