Mobile Field Service Technician – Utility & Heavy Equipment

A growing fleet service organization is seeking a Mobile Field Service Technician to support utility, telecom, rail, forestry, and specialty fleet equipment throughout the Missouri region.

What You'll Do
As a Mobile Field Service Technician, you'll travel directly to customer locations in a company-provided service vehicle to perform inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of specialized equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled fleet services
- Conduct DOT inspections and annual safety inspections
- Perform ANSI boom inspections and dielectric testing (training provided for qualified candidates)
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, brake, and engine systems
- Service bucket trucks, digger derricks, forestry equipment, utility vehicles, and specialty fleet equipment
- Complete service reports and inspection documentation accurately
- Work independently while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Travel throughout the service territory as needed
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience as a diesel, automotive, heavy equipment, or fleet technician
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with hydraulic, electrical, brake, or diesel systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage field service responsibilities
- Willingness to travel overnight 2–4 nights per week
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of technician experience
- Experience working on utility trucks, bucket trucks, digger derricks, forestry equipment, or other specialty fleets
- Previous mobile field service experience
- DOT inspection experience
- ANSI or dielectric certifications

Schedule
- Full-time position
- Start times vary between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM based on customer schedules
- Regular overtime available, with opportunities to work up to 60 hours per week
- Overnight travel required (typically 2–4 nights per week)
