Growing asset-based logistics provider is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive new revenue growth across warehousing, transloading, transportation, CFS, and international logistics services. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build the commercial sales engine of a growing logistics organization. Working directly with ownership, the successful hire will have a clear path to leading sales operations and building the company's future commercial organization. This is a high-impact opportunity for a consultative sales professional who understands how freight moves through global supply chains and enjoys building new business through strategic relationships. Working directly with ownership, you'll play a key role in expanding the company's presence across New Jersey and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Develop new business opportunities across warehousing, transportation, transloading, fulfillment, and logistics services
- Build relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, importers, manufacturers, retailers, and other supply chain stakeholders
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through onboarding
- Conduct customer visits, networking activities, and industry meetings to generate new business
- Partner directly with ownership to support growth initiatives and market expansion
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of business development or sales experience within logistics or supply chain services
- Experience selling one or more of the following:
- Freight Forwarding
- International Logistics
- Warehousing & Fulfillment
- Contract Logistics
- Drayage
- Transportation Management
- Import / Export Logistics
- Transloading Services
- CFS Services
- Proven ability to develop new business and build customer relationships
- Strong understanding of freight movement and supply chain operations
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality
