Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and organized Parts Inventory Specialist to support a large-scale construction project in the Chicago area. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining parts inventory on an active construction site and ensuring materials are properly organized, tracked, and available when needed.

The selected candidate will be focused on inventory and material coordination and will not be performing assembly labor.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, track, and maintain parts and materials on site
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are properly accounted for
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate when parts or materials are needed
• Assist with locating and distributing materials as requested
• Keep the inventory/storage area clean, organized, and safe
• Communicate effectively with project personnel, vendors, and site management
• Follow all construction site safety requirements and procedures
• Perform other inventory-related duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory, parts, warehouse, material control, or construction preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working in an active construction-site environment
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain electronic inventory records
• Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to follow all required safety procedures

PPE: All typical construction-site PPE is required.
