The Analyst position participates in all aspects of the company’s professional services. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with strong analytical, research, and communication skills who is eager to learn about corporate location strategy, economic development, and real estate analysis.
The Analyst will support consulting engagements by collecting and analyzing data, preparing deliverables, and assisting in the evaluation of business climate, labor, infrastructure, and cost factors across potential sites. This includes active participation in corporate site selection and economic development consulting projects. Specific tasks may include performing demographic and labor force research and analysis, reviewing sites, conducting tax and incentive research, and preparing client deliverables.
SDG is headquartered in Greenville, SC and there is a strong preference for the Analyst to be based in the Greenville office.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include working with project teams on site selection projects and economic development assignments. The Analyst will be primarily responsible for community research, including site and infrastructure assessments, demographic data analysis, labor market evaluations, tax and incentive research, and preparing client deliverables. Responsibilities may also include information management and data analytics function.
While the role is primarily focused on internal project execution, it also includes client-facing responsibilities. You’ll work directly with clients in certain phases of the project to support communication, provide updates, and contribute to presentations or deliverables. This position requires periodic travel, estimated at 10–25% of total work time, depending on project needs and client schedules
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, geography, engineering or related field is required.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and comfort working with data.
- Experience with PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, curious, and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Interest in site selection, economic development, or corporate real estate.
