What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipboard Mobile Technical Trainer position at StratasCorp?
Our team has an immediate need for a Mobile Technical Trainer to support a new mobile training initiative to teach shipboard network administrators the skills necessary to perform day-to-day duties. Primary responsibilities include:
* Consult with leadership to design, implement, and maintain mobile training materials and programs
* Conduct a needs evaluation to inform the design and development of curriculum and other training materials to meet the needs of shipboard network administrators
* Analyze existing curriculum and training methodologies for effectiveness and provide feedback on ways to enhance or replace each
* Assist in creating, modifying, or updating training curriculum for mobile delivery to shipboard network administrators
* Create graphics, visuals, and other content to support content delivery
* Deliver shipboard LAN and system specific training to civilian and contractor Mariners onboard MSC vessels
* Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M, and be able to get appropriate Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
* Must have 5 years or more of progressive experience as a technical training consultant, technical trainer, or training analyst
* Must be able to travel to ships, some of which are in shipyard environments and require PPE
* May require getting underway with the ship to conduct training, schedule permitting
This is NOT a remote/hybrid position. Must be able to come into the office daily
