Our team in Pensacola, FL, has an immediate opening for a Host-Based Security System (HBSS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to oversee all HBSS-related system administration and support requirements for the fleet. Primary responsibilities include:
- Monitor and maintain systems in accordance with DoD mandated policies; investigate potential security breaches and report as necessary
- Audit computer systems to ensure compliance with mandated policies and review logfiles
- Support HBSS deployment to the enterprise network environment, ensuring configurations follow DoD and Customer requirements
- Assist with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) remediation on HBSS servers/applications
- Assist as needed with network accreditation efforts by providing documentation for HBSS systems upon request
- Most possess current IAT III or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
- Must have completed DoD HBSS training or be able to complete the training immediately after hire
- Must have 5 years or more experience supporting HBSS in an enterprise environment, with 3 or more years at a SME level
- Experience supporting a high-latency, low-bandwidth enterprise environment is a plus
