Position Overview
Strataegius LLC, an SBA-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking experienced Court Reporters located in or near Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Greeneville, Tennessee, to support a proposal for an upcoming U.S. Department of Justice contract.
Multiple positions are available. Candidates may provide coverage in one or more of these locations.
The selected professionals will support federal grand jury proceedings through accurate verbatim reporting, certified transcript preparation, and timely delivery of legal records.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional experience providing court reporting services in judicial proceedings, depositions, or comparable legal settings.
- Proficiency in verbatim reporting and preparation of accurate, properly formatted, certified legal transcripts.
- Experience using professional court reporting equipment, transcription software, and related technologies.
- Ability to meet standard and expedited transcript delivery deadlines, including same-day and next-business-day requests when required.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, courtroom procedures, and professional transcription standards.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive judicial information, including federal grand jury proceedings.
- Availability to perform in-person assignments in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Greeneville, or surrounding areas.
- Ability to satisfy applicable DOJ background screening, suitability, and security requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting federal courts, U.S. Attorney's Offices, or grand jury proceedings.
- Relevant professional court reporting certifications, such as NCRA Registered Professional Reporter (RPR), or equivalent credentials.
- Experience producing expedited transcripts for government or judicial clients.
