In Vivo Technician
Our Boston based biotech client is seeking an experienced In Vivo Technician to support rodent‑based research studies and help advance innovative therapeutic programs. This role involves hands‑on in vivo work, technical leadership, and close collaboration with scientific and veterinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced in vivo procedures (dosing, blood collection, necropsy, surgeries, perfusions)
- Independently execute study protocols and ensure compliance with IACUC and SOPs
- Support daily lab operations, equipment maintenance, and inventory management
- Train and mentor staff; assist with competency assessments
- Accurately document data and maintain organized records
- Contribute to new technique development and process improvements
- Identify and troubleshoot study‑related issues
- Collaborate across teams to meet project goals
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in animal or biological sciences
- 3 years of laboratory animal experience with advanced rodent skills
- IV Dosing experience required
- Previous experience with blood collection required
- LATG certification preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities
- Experience with animal models across multiple research areas
- Familiarity with lab equipment, PPE, and biosecurity requirements
