Our Boston based client is looking for a dedicated Animal Care Technician to assist their team and support part-time weekend (Saturday & Sunday) operations in their animal care facility. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of animal welfare and ensuring smooth lab workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for research animals (feeding, watering, monitoring health).
- Clean and maintain cages, equipment, and facility spaces.
- Assist with handling, restraint, and routine procedures under supervision.
- Monitor animal health and report concerns to veterinary or research staff.
- Maintain accurate records of care, treatments, and facility checks.
- Support compliance with animal welfare regulations and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in animal science or related field preferred.
- Experience in animal care, veterinary, or research settings is a plus.
