How You’ll Make an Impact
As an Agentic AI Developer at Strata, you will be at the forefront of building our next generation of intelligent agents. Working closely with architects, data scientists, platform engineers, and product leaders, you’ll design and implement advanced agentic AI solutions that enhance our platform’s ability to deliver insights, automation, and decision support.

Your contributions will directly impact how healthcare providers leverage financial, operational, and clinical data, helping them deliver exceptional patient care while strengthening their financial performance. By exploring new agentic patterns and incorporating the latest technologies, you’ll ensure Strata continues to lead in an evolving AI landscape.

A Day in the Life

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and refine AI agents

• Apply best practices in agent prompting, workflow orchestration, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

• Rapidly evaluate new AWS AI features and emerging technologies, integrating them into production where valuable

• Build and manage vector-store knowledge bases to support agent reasoning and contextual responses

• Communicate complex technical concepts and solutions clearly with internal stakeholders in healthcare

• Develop and test new agentic workflows, including evaluation and guardrail strategies to ensure reliability

• Languages & Tools: Python, SQL

• AWS Ecosystem: Bedrock (UI, API, Knowledge Base), Transcribe, SageMaker, S3

• LLMs: Anthropic Claude (3.5, 3.7, 4 ), AWS Nova

• Agentic AI Patterns: Prompting, instructions, workflow orchestration, RAG, agentic RAG

• Advanced: MCP (Model Context Protocol), client/agent/server toolchains

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a developer who is passionate about advancing agentic AI and translating new technologies into production-ready solutions.

You should be familair with:

• AWS AI technologies such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Transcribe, and S3

• Anthropic Claude models (3.5, 3.7, 4 ) and AWS Nova

• Agent prompting, instructions, workflow orchestration, and RAG patterns

• Python and SQL

• Communicating technical concepts effectively with internal stakeholders in healthcare

Preferred experience with:

• MCP technologies including client, agent, server, and tools

• AI chat agents in production environments

• Agent evaluation strategies and building safety guardrails

Estimated Salary Range: $ 70,000-100,000

Actual salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skill set and level of experience. This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Strata also provides discretionary variable pay programs based on role. How we work:
The preferred location for this role is in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO. We value our people spending time together and have campuses hosting in-person events located in both cities. We are truly a hybrid environment with all team members experiencing the flexibility to work from home.
