Strata Networks is seeking a qualified Central Office / Telecom Network Engineer to perform engineering functions related to the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of central office and network transmission systems. This position plays a key role in ensuring reliable network performance and supporting the company’s commitment to providing advanced telecommunications services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop detailed plans for central office construction, expansion, and redesign projects.

• Determine equipment and material requirements, place orders, and manage project inventory to ensure timely completion.

• Monitor and report on project progress to verify compliance with specifications, budgets, and timelines.

• Develop, maintain, and update central office documentation, including records, schematics, and floor plan charts.

• Utilize project management tools to establish, track, and adjust project schedules.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support network operations and ensure successful project delivery.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• An associate degree in engineering or a related technical field is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Two to three years of experience in central office or network engineering.

• Strong knowledge of central office equipment, electronics, and digital switching technology.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, and project management software.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to interpret maps, staking sheets, and technical documentation.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.

• Valid driver’s license required.

Working Conditions

• Primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork as required.

• Extended computer use and irregular work hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
