The Staff Accountant II is responsible for complex accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. This role provides oversight of general ledger activities, prepares key financial analyses, and ensures compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of the general ledger.
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare internal financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Special Projects and audit assistance.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA certification is preferred, but not required.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience is preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills, and familiarity with medium to large ERP systems required.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience and familiarity with construction or project based accounting preferred, but not required.
- Work is performed in an office environment and in the field. No work from home is permitted.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds.
