SENIOR PROJ ENGINEER $200K/YR PLUS $10K VEHICLE ALLOW & FULL BENEFITS $0 COST
Texas-based construction and CMAR contracting company specializing in constructing a variety of projects–including commercial buildings, underground utilities, and waterworks facilities. This will be a 1-year, $100M, WWTP project in rural Haskell, Texas with extra incentives listed below.
Your Role with the Company:
The Senior Civil Project Engineer assists the Project Manager and Superintendent in managing the day-to-day field operations, engineering, and administrative duties of heavy civil construction projects. This position ensures that projects are built according to plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets, with a heavy emphasis on safety, quality control, and cost tracking.
Project Administration & Documentation: Manage RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, shop drawings, and change orders. Maintain accurate, up-to-date project records and "as-built" drawings.
Cost Tracking & Quantity Takeoffs: Monitor project tracking logs, verify quantities of materials installed (e.g., concrete yardage, tons of asphalt, linear feet of pipe), and assist in preparing monthly progress billings.
Scheduling & Coordination: Assist in developing and updating three-week look-ahead schedules. Coordinate material deliveries, equipment rentals, and subcontractor schedules to match the master plan.
Quality Control (QC) & Safety: Inspect field work to ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications, and local regulations. Assist the safety manager in enforcing OSHA compliance and job site safety protocols.
Field Support & Surveying: Provide technical engineering support to the field superintendent and foremen. Perform or verify construction staking, layout, and grade checking as required.
Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Review subcontractor daily logs, verify their completed work, and assist in evaluating change order requests from vendors.
Background Profile:
Experience as a Project Engineer, prefer 2 years of expertise in WWTP and Pump Station construction
Experience in self-performed excavation, yard piping, structural concrete, processing piping, and inside mechanical
