Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate inventory control, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Duties

• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse and manufacturing facility
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using warehouse management systems (WMS) and update inventory records accurately
• Prepare outgoing shipments by loading to schedule and labeling products in accordance with customer specifications and shipping requirements
• Utilize inventory management systems to track stock levels, process data entry, and ensure order accuracy
• Move flatbed trailer, box trailer and straight truck into assigned loading area, place and secure loads with straps
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations, international trade standards, and shipping & receiving protocols during all operations
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace by stocking shelves, managing packaging materials, and adhering to safety procedures at all times

Skills

• Proven experience with warehouse operations including order fulfillment, stocking, picking & packing in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management using Microsoft Office tools for data entry and reporting
• Strong understanding of shipping logistics. CDL License not necessary, but considered a plus
• Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not mandatory if willing to obtain training upon hire
• Basic math skills for measuring quantities, calculating weights or dimensions, and verifying shipment details accurately
• Excellent customer service skills to coordinate with internal teams and external carriers effectively
• Knowledge of load & unload procedures using pallet jacks or forklifts
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a physically demanding environment while maintaining attention to detail and completion of tasks
• Need to be fluent in English to receive written and verbal instructions
• Flexibility in daily assignments. Willingness to assist in other departments as needed
