Job Summary:
Strapack in Milledgeville is seeking an experienced and results-driven Maintenance supervisor.
The Maintenance supervisor will be responsible for leading maintenance operations, planning and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and ensuring the safe, reliable, and
efficient operation of all production equipment and facilities.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with technical background.
Reports to:
Plant Manager
Supervises:
Maintenance Technicians, Contractors (as assigned)
Responsibilities:
1. Lead all preventive and corrective maintenance
activities for production equipment and facilities using appropriate tools.
2. Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program to minimize unplanned
downtime and extend equipment life.
3. Demonstrate leadership experience, including prioritizing work, providing technical guidance, training or coaching other employees, and coordinating contractor activities. Prior formal supervisory experience is preferred.
4. Diagnose equipment failures and coordinate timely repairs to restore
production operations.
5. Coordinate with production, operations, and management teams to schedule
maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
6. Oversee vendor and contractor relationships; obtain quotes, review work quality,
and ensure compliance with safety standards.
7. Maintain accurate maintenance records including equipment history, work orders,
parts inventory, and inspection logs.
8. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA regulations, company safety
policies, and environmental standards.
9. Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of equipment, tools,
and materials..
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
1. Have to have at least 5 years of experience industrial or manufacturing maintenance and demonstrated leading experience.
2. Have technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
systems.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex equipment
issues.
4. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting to management
and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
5. The ability to enforce a safe work environment.
6. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering
drawings.
7. Physical ability to perform hands-on work, including lifting, climbing, and working
in various environmental conditions.
8. High school diploma or equivalent required.
9. Valid driver's license.
