Title: Gen AI Solutions Architect

Location: Newark, NJ

Roles & Responsibilities

Day-to-day Technical Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions using generative AI (LLMs such as GPT, VAEs, GANs, diffusion models where appropriate) to solve concrete business problems.
• Architect and implement GenAI workloads on Azure, including services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search/vector stores, Azure App Service / Functions / AKS, Storage, and Key Vault.
• Integrate cloud GenAI services (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI API, and other ecosystem models where needed) into secure, production-grade applications and workflows.
• Develop and maintain AI pipelines end-to-end: data ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, model training/fine-tuning, evaluation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Optimize LLM and generative pipelines for latency, scalability, throughput, and cost on Azure.
• Implement GenAI patterns such as RAG, tool-calling/agents, and prompt orchestration, ensuring robust guardrails, safety, and observability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, delivery, domain SMEs, data, cloud) to define AI use cases, success metrics, and technical requirements.
• Research the latest advancements in generative AI, LLMs, and deep learning; identify opportunities to bring them into Straive’s products, accelerators, and client solutions.
• Drive agile delivery of GenAI products and solutions, supporting sprint planning, technical design reviews, and hands-on implementation where needed.

Stakeholder Interaction & Management

• Partner with sales, solutioning, and account teams to shape GenAI solution proposals and architectures for clients.
• Contribute to and lead the creation of RFP/RFI responses, solution decks, demos, and POCs that showcase GenAI and Azure capabilities.
• Participate in client workshops and calls to understand requirements, present architectures, address technical concerns, and build confidence in the proposed solution.
• Collect feedback from internal and external stakeholders and iterate quickly on solution designs and roadmaps.
• Ensure clear, proactive communication across all parties (sales, delivery, engineering, client stakeholders) throughout pre-sales and delivery.

Effective Project & Solution Management

• Plan and organize the technical workstreams for GenAI initiatives from discovery and architecture through POC/MVP and productionization.
• Define work plans, milestones, and deliverables covering design, implementation, testing, documentation, and handover.
• Balance multiple opportunities/projects with differing timelines, while maintaining technical quality and delivery standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, DevOps, security, and data teams to ensure environments, access, and prerequisites are in place.
• Track progress, risks, and dependencies; provide regular status updates to internal leadership and client stakeholders.

Experience & Background

• ~10 years of experience in ML / Engineering.
• ~2 years in Production level Generative AI roles.
• Proven experience delivering production-grade AI or data solutions on Azure.
• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end solution lifecycle: discovery, design, implementation, deployment, and post-go-live optimization.

Skills & Qualifications

Generative AI & ML

• Strong, recent hands-on experience with generative AI: LLMs (e.g., GPT-family), VAEs, GANs, and related deep learning architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras).
• Experience with NLP techniques and libraries such as spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers, etc.
• Practical experience with prompt engineering, system prompts, and guardrails for GenAI.
• Experience deploying and operating GenAI models in production (APIs, containers, serverless).

Azure & Cloud Architecture

• Strong experience architecting solutions on Microsoft Azure for AI/ML and data-heavy applications.
• Familiarity with key Azure services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, App Service,
• Functions, AKS, Storage, Key Vault, and monitoring (Application Insights / Log Analytics).
• Solid understanding of Azure networking and security concepts (VNets, private endpoints, RBAC, managed identities, secure secrets).
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps), containerization (Docker, AKS), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep) is a plus.
