Experienced HVAC Service Technician (MacLellan Mechanical Services)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, using tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Install new HVAC systems and components according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about system status, maintenance needs, and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and safety regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while on the job.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and refrigerants.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions (e.g., extreme temperatures, tight spaces).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- EPA Certified (must include R410A)
