PDX Bar & Retail Manager

We’re looking for a Bar & Retail Manager to lead our cocktail bar and shop at Portland International Airport (PDX)—someone who believes hospitality is both a craft and a calling.

This role is the heartbeat of the space. You’ll guide the team, shape the guest experience, and ensure every detail—from the first greeting to the final sip (and everything guests take with them)—reflects who we are. You’ll oversee both bar and food service and a thoughtfully curated retail program featuring our full lineup of cocktails alongside a selection of goods designed for discovery and travel.

You’ll balance operational excellence with warmth, precision with creativity, and leadership with service—creating an environment where guests can enjoy a drink in the moment or bring a piece of the experience home.

Run a Thoughtful, High-Performing Operation

• Oversee the full rhythm of the bar: service, retail, inventory, and daily execution
• Create schedules that balance team wellbeing with business needs
• Maintain disciplined cash handling and accurate sales tracking
• Manage inventory and the food program with an eye toward quality, consistency, and cost
• Keep the space clean, organized, and running with intention

Create Memorable Guest Experiences

• Share knowledge—cocktails, flavor, pairing, and the stories behind what we serve
• Help guests discover something new, even in a short airport moment
• Build genuine connections that turn first-time visitors into loyal fans
• Uphold the belief that service is a supreme art

Be a Steward of the Brand

• Represent our cocktails, culture, and B Corp values with integrity and pride
• Partner with the Port of Portland and fellow PDX businesses to build community
• Collaborate with Marketing and leadership on events and activations
• Partner closely with the Director of Guest Experience to share updates, solve challenges, and support the success of the space

Hold the Line on Safety & Standards

• Ensure all health, safety, and compliance standards are met
• Proactively identify and solve for potential risks
• Maintain strong systems and follow through on operational discipline

What You Bring

• 5 years leading teams in hospitality, retail, or food service
• A steady, thoughtful leadership style and strong communication skills
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• The ability to be on your feet for long stretches and lift up to 45 lbs
• Ability to pass a government background check
• A reliable, insured vehicle
• OLCC and Food Handler’s Permits (or ability to obtain)

Starting salary: $80,000/year
