Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health, social needs, and overall functioning to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
- Support clients with neurodevelopmental disorders and intellectual disabilities by implementing specialized interventions and support strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, educators, and community organizations, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support.
- Offer crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when urgent situations arise, ensuring safety for clients and staff alike.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and service delivery in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Promote health and safety by maintaining certifications such as First Aid and CPR, while adhering to best practices in client care.
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Proven experience working with individuals from underserved communities, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
- Prior experience supporting clients with neurodevelopmental disorders or intellectual disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care approaches.
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to connect clients with appropriate services.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing professional development in mental health best practices is encouraged.
