We partner with nursing facilities, hospitals, and dialysis centers to ensure patients get where they need to go comfortably and on time.
Position Overview:
We are seeking dependable, patient-focused individuals to join our team as Patient Transporters. This role involves safely transporting patients in wheelchair-accessible vans to and from medical appointments, hospital discharges, dialysis treatments, and nursing facilities while providing excellent customer care.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a wheelchair-accessible transport van
- Transport patients to and from:
- Doctor appointments
- Hospital discharges back to nursing facilities
- Dialysis treatments
- Rehabilitation and specialty appointments
- Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility equipment
- Assist patients entering/exiting vehicles safely
- Maintain a professional, compassionate attitude with patients and facility staff
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and healthcare facilities
- Perform vehicle safety checks and keep vehicle clean and ready for service
- Follow all company safety, HIPAA, and patient-care protocols
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and assist patients safely (wheelchair positioning, light transfers)
- Comfortable working with elderly and disabled populations
Preferred (not required):
- Experience in medical transport, EMS, healthcare, or caregiving
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of local hospitals and nursing facilities
Work Environment:
- Daily interaction with hospitals, nursing homes, and dialysis centers
- Combination of scheduled trips and same-day transport requests
