Garden Center Team Member

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and helpful customer service, assisting with purchases and answering questions.
• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Care for houseplants by watering, cleaning, organizing, and maintaining attractive displays.
• Stock and organize merchandise, including pottery, gardening supplies, décor, tools, and other products.
• Unload, move, price, and display merchandise as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and inviting sales areas throughout the store.
• Assist with seasonal transitions, including setting up and decorating for Christmas and other holidays.
• Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks and special projects.

Qualifications

• Friendly, dependable, and enjoys working with customers.
• Comfortable in a busy, hands-on retail environment.
• Willingness to learn about houseplants and garden center products.
• Ability to stay organized while handling multiple tasks.
• Works well as part of a team and takes initiative.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move merchandise during shifts.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and increased hours during busy seasonal periods.
• Previous garden center or retail experience is helpful but not required; a positive attitude and reliability are valued.
