- Introductory into RNC HVAC. Content includes HVAC material identification, installation methods and efficiency techniques.
- Included within this course is full hands-on experience with HVAC tools and materials.
- The student will develop a basic understanding withing RNC HVAC installations with knowledge to perform full home HVAC installations in the RNC market.
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Cite key HVAC terms.
- Identify components within residential HVAC.
- Understand and read blueprints.
- Effectively follow safety requirements.
- Perform full home HVAC installation rough/trim off a blueprint without direction.
- On site lectures in real world application.
- Interactive discussions in which students will be expected to participate.
- Written assignments.
- Hands on assignments full time (main source of instruction).
- Quizzes and exams.
- At least 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalency
- Able to pass Basic Skills Test and Drug Screen.
- Ability to commit & complete a 10-12-week hands-on paid training program.
- Have your own reliable transportation with a valid driver's license.
- Be able to climb up & down ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with hand tools, ability work to attic space and use of ladders
- Commit to a work schedule of 40 hours a week M-F 7am- 3-30.
