The programs we offer include detox, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient care with licensed recovery housing. Schedule:

Mon, Tues, Thurs: 1pm-9pm

Weds, Fri: 9am-5pm




Compensation Range: $60,000 - $65,000/year depending upon license, level, and location



Position Summary

The clinician is responsible for ensuring that excellent clinical care is provided to all clients. This position is responsible for designing treatment and aftercare plans and supporting referrals. This position is required to also implement group therapy and clinical therapy for substance use and or mental health disorders. This position must also document all treatment activities and consistently consult with treatment team.


Relationships and Contacts


Within the organization: Establish and maintain productive working relationships with peers and accounting team members throughout Steps to Recovery and affiliated facilities.


Outside the organization: Establish and maintain productive working relationships with third party vendors, as necessary.



Position Responsibilities


  1. Providing one on one and group therapy session for adults with substance use and mental health disorders
  2. Developing and implementing client treatment Plans
  3. Developing and implementing Aftercare and discharge/
  4. Completing client Bio-psychosocial evaluations
  5. Attending and participating in regular Clinical Team meetings
  6. Completing case notes and other documentation relevant to treatment, aftercare and discharge
  7. Attending and participating in mandatory trainings
  8. Assisting with Intake/Admissions, referrals, Discharge and Admission of clients
  9. Asses and schedule client support needs outside the scope of STR
  10. Complete other duties and tasks as assigned.





Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience


Position requires a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy or psychology. Must hold or be working toward Pennsylvania licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC). Position requires a minimum of one (1) year experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, preferably with clients with Mental Health diagnoses, including Thought Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Trauma History, Anxiety and Depression, strongly preferred.



Additional Requirements


  • Position requires incumbent to have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and acceptable driving record.
  • Clearance of TB test, [insert background clearance requirements if applicable], and any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.

  • Screening and Assessment – engages clients and members of the client support system, as appropriate, in screening and assessment to develop individualized, client-centered, evidence- informed care plans. Leverages established screening tools for psychosocial, pain, domestic violence, substance use, self-hard, and distress assessments, among others.
  • Care Planning and Intervention – develops and implements evidence-informed care plans that promote clinical excellence throughout the client-centered continuum of care. Care plans outline necessary steps, identified collaboratively with the care team, to achieve objectives identified in the biopsychosocial assessment. Leverage evidence-informed, clinically excellent treatment interventions.
  • Advocacy – advocates for the needs and interest of clients and families to promotes clinical excellence through improved outcomes, access to care, and service delivery. Participates in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing client outcomes and strengthening clinical service delivery
  • Interdisciplinary and Interorganizational Collaboration – promotes cross functional collaboration among team members and referral partners to support and enhance clinical service delivery and support.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
